I’ll submit a price quote for your approval along with an editing sample before starting any work, and I’ll tailor my work to fit your budget.

Rates

Proofreading: $1.00 – $3.00/page ($.004 – .012/word)
Light editing: $3.00 – $5.00/page ($.012 – .020/word)
Heavy editing: $5.00 – 10.00/page ($.020 – .040/word)
Editing and Rewriting/Revising: $10.00 – 15.00/page ($.040 – .060/word)

A standard page in professional editing and proofreading is 250 words (a typewritten, double-spaced page using a standard font such as New Times Roman, 12 point). In Microsoft Word, the (total) word count appears on the bottom left side of the page of the open document. In previous versions of Microsoft Word, the (total) word count is found using the Tools menu>Word count.

Payments

In accordance with professional editing practices, I request prepayment. However, I will accept partial payments for lengthy documents or manuscripts. My preferred method of payment is by check or money order, as there are no fees. I also accept PayPal and Venmo payments, which allow debit and credit card transactions.

When you hire me to do the editing, proofreading, or revising/rewriting of your manuscript or document, you can rest easy knowing your manuscript or document is in good hands. I guarantee my work. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with my editing or proofreading services, you need only let me know what it is that you are not happy with, and I will fix it. The process is only done when you say it is.
